Accessibility Statement

Effective date: 30 August 2026

Last updated: 30 August 2026

Version 1.0

Football Express is committed to making its website, mobile experience and related services accessible to as many people as reasonably possible.

Football Express is operated under the Six Platforms brand in India.

1. Our accessibility approach

We design and develop Football Express with accessibility principles and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA in mind.

Our current accessibility work includes support for:

  • keyboard navigation;
  • visible keyboard focus;
  • semantic page landmarks;
  • skip navigation;
  • logical heading structures;
  • accessible names and labels;
  • appropriate link and button semantics;
  • accessible navigation states;
  • modal and drawer focus management;
  • Escape-key dismissal where appropriate;
  • focus restoration after dialogs close;
  • accessible image alternatives;
  • decorative-image handling;
  • reduced-motion preferences;
  • accessible table captions and header relationships where implemented;
  • responsive layouts;
  • screen-reader-accessible status and error states; and
  • restrained live-region announcements for meaningful football match updates.

We continue to review and improve these areas as Football Express evolves.

2. Current conformance status

Football Express has implemented a substantial WCAG-oriented accessibility foundation.

However, we do not currently claim formal full conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Formal conformance would require broader testing across:

  • additional assistive technologies;
  • operating systems and browsers;
  • screen-reader combinations;
  • browser zoom and text resizing;
  • contrast combinations across all routes and states;
  • all interactive controls and touch targets; and
  • the complete range of Football Express pages and dynamic states.

Where we identify accessibility barriers, we aim to correct them as part of ongoing product development.

3. Keyboard access

Football Express is designed so that core functionality can be used with a keyboard.

This includes support for:

  • moving through interactive controls;
  • using visible focus indicators;
  • opening and closing navigation interfaces;
  • operating accessible tabs and filters;
  • navigating privacy controls; and
  • dismissing supported dialogs with the Escape key.

Where a modal or drawer captures focus, focus should remain within that interface until it is closed and should return to an appropriate location afterward.

4. Page structure and navigation

Football Express uses semantic structure intended to help users understand and navigate pages.

This may include:

  • page headings;
  • landmark regions;
  • breadcrumbs;
  • navigation labels;
  • current-page indicators;
  • skip links; and
  • structured tables.

We aim to keep heading order and page relationships meaningful for both visual users and assistive technologies.

5. Images and visual content

Meaningful images should include appropriate alternative text where necessary.

Decorative images and icons are intended not to create unnecessary screen-reader noise.

Football crests, player imagery and other sports-media assets may originate from third-party sources. Their availability and presentation can vary depending on source coverage.

6. Colour and contrast

Football Express uses a consistent visual system across light and dark themes.

Current colour tokens and reviewed combinations are designed with WCAG AA contrast requirements in mind.

However, we have not yet completed an exhaustive visual contrast certification of every possible component, interaction state, third-party image or dynamic combination across Football Express.

If you encounter text or controls that are difficult to distinguish, please report them.

7. Responsive layout and zoom

Football Express is designed to work across small mobile screens, tablets, laptops and desktop displays.

Representative layouts have been reviewed for responsive reflow and horizontal overflow.

We have not yet completed formal certification of every route and state at all WCAG-required text-resize and zoom configurations.

Users should generally be able to use standard browser zoom and device accessibility settings.

8. Tables and sports data

Football information may be presented in tables, including standings and statistical data.

Where audited, Football Express uses accessibility features such as:

  • table captions;
  • header cells; and
  • column or row relationships.

Because Football Express contains many different data presentations, some compact or specialised tables may require further accessibility review as the service evolves.

9. Live football updates

Football Express may update match information dynamically.

Visible information such as the match minute may change frequently.

To avoid excessive screen-reader interruptions, Football Express does not announce every minute change.

Accessible live announcements are intended to focus on meaningful changes such as:

  • significant score changes;
  • kickoff or major match-status transitions;
  • half-time;
  • full-time; and
  • other important match-state updates.

We aim to avoid unnecessary or duplicate announcements.

10. Privacy controls

Football Express Privacy Settings are designed to be keyboard and screen-reader accessible.

The privacy interface includes:

  • labelled options;
  • keyboard navigation;
  • focus management;
  • appropriate dialog semantics; and
  • focus restoration after Accept, Reject or Save actions.

On first visit, where no previous triggering control exists, focus is returned to an appropriate focusable part of the main page.

11. Reduced motion

Football Express respects supported reduced-motion preferences where applicable.

Where motion is not essential to understanding or using the service, we aim to reduce or remove unnecessary animation for users who request reduced motion through their operating system or browser settings.

12. Mobile applications

Football Express may also be available through mobile applications.

Web accessibility and native mobile accessibility are related but not identical.

The current development repository does not contain the original historical native Android source code for the existing application, so the accessibility configuration of the historical native wrapper cannot be fully certified from the current web codebase alone.

Future native application development should include platform-specific accessibility testing.

13. Third-party content and services

Football Express may link to or display information associated with third-party websites, applications, football organisations or service providers.

We do not control the accessibility of independent third-party services.

If you leave Football Express and use another service, that service’s accessibility practices apply.

14. Ongoing improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing part of Football Express development.

As the service grows, we intend to continue reviewing:

  • keyboard access;
  • assistive-technology compatibility;
  • focus behaviour;
  • page semantics;
  • contrast;
  • responsive reflow;
  • text resizing;
  • touch targets;
  • dynamic announcements; and
  • accessibility of new features.

Future features, including user accounts, news aggregation, publisher integrations, comments or other interactive functionality, will require their own accessibility review before or during launch.

15. Reporting an accessibility problem

If you experience difficulty using Football Express, please let us know.

Accessibility rights and complaint mechanisms differ by jurisdiction.

Nothing in this Statement limits rights available under mandatory accessibility, disability, equality or consumer-protection laws that apply to you.

Where required, users may also contact the relevant authority or complaint body available under applicable law.

17. Changes to this Accessibility Statement

We may update this Statement when:

  • accessibility testing expands;
  • identified barriers are corrected;
  • new functionality is introduced;
  • our supported platforms change; or
  • applicable accessibility requirements change.

The latest version will display a revised “Last updated” date.
